Pneumonia cases in AIIMS-Delhi have no link with China respiratory infections cases: Health Ministry

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare clarified that the cases of pneumonia at AIIMS Delhi are unrelated to the recent increase in respiratory infections among children in China. The seven cases, identified during an ongoing study at AIIMS Delhi, were found between April and September 2023 and pose no cause for concern. The Ministry also stated that there has been no detection of Mycoplasma pneumonia in the samples examined at AIIMS Delhi. No odd-even rule in Delhi for now as air quality improves

The Delhi government has postponed the implementation of the odd-even scheme, which restricts cars from operating on alternate days, due to a slight improvement in air quality.
