Delhi: Rise in murders, rapes, car thefts in 2019

Murders and rapes — two prime indicators of the crime situation in a city — are on the rise in Delhi, police data shows. Till November 15, a total of 459 murders were reported in the city, up 5% from 439 in the corresponding period last year. Similarly, 1,947 cases of rape have been reported this year against 1,921 last year.
