Delhi: 16 safai workers died on Covid duty

At least 16 sanitation workers have passed away while carrying out Covid-19 duties between May and July, Delhi Commission For Safai Karamchari (DCSK) has claimed in its report submitted to Delhi government. Based on the report, the deputy director of local bodies from the Urban development department has asked the three corporations, New Delhi Municipal Council and Cantonment Board to submit details of all such sanitation workers so that compensation can be granted to their families.
