Reopening of Delhi's iconic Gole Market has been delayed due to changes made by the civic body in the conservation plans. The market was due to be opened in March 2019 but now its revamping is likely to get over only by 2020. Gole Market declared unsafe in 2007 and in 2013, the Supreme Court finally ruled in favour of NDMC and asked it to provide an alternative site to shopkeepers while restoring the historical market.
