AAP govt seeks Rs 6k cr for Delhi in Union budget

The AAP government has sought an increase in the funds granted by the central government to Delhi. In a pre-budget meeting of finance ministers convened by Union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Friday, deputy CM Manish Sisodia demanded a provision of Rs 6,000 crore in the regular budget for 2019-20, while also seeking creation of a separate fund for the three municipal corporations like the civic bodies of other states.
