Panic swells with Yamuna level rising

The Yamuna continued to swell through the day on Tuesday, triggering panic among thousands of people living in its vicinity. The water level touched 206.4 metres at 9pm, and the river submerged more areas on its floodplain dotted with farms, clusters of makeshift houses and animal shelters.
