
After unleashing chaos and distress for two days, the Yamuna water level started receding on Wednesday afternoon after touching the 206.6 metre mark. The water level remained constant for around seven hours at 206.6m. The water was flowing at 205.9m at 11pm on Wednesday. The river, however, did not touch the peak point of 207.08 m, sending a sense of relief among authorities and thousands of affected persons.
