30 apply for adoption of banyan tree at Chandni Chowk

The forest and wildlife department has received over 30 applications from people interested in adopting a century-year-old banyan tree in Chandni Chowk. The department is in the process of finalising an applicant on the basis of his or her experience in preserving trees.
