Bought used phone? You may want to get its IMEI verified

If you are buying a used phone, you may want to verify its IMEI number with Delhi Police. The cops have been blacklisting handsets and blocking IMEIs to curb the sale of stolen handsets. It is a problem of significant magnitude and according to data accessed by TOI, 94,204 handsets were blacklisted by police between May 20 last year and July 14 this year.
