Delhi: Debts, drugs driving many to life of crime

In the recent past, several people with stable jobs have been arrested for various crimes, mostly petty and white-collar ones. According to police, earlier most people who were caught for street crimes came from underprivileged or criminal backgrounds. But in many of the recent cases, the accused took to crime after incurring debts in gambling or to consume high-end drugs, the cops said.
