FIR filed against Delhi resident for lewd comments on Kirti Chakra awardee's widow following NCW intervention

Delhi police registered an FIR against a man for derogatory comments about Captain Anshuman Singh's widow. The Kirti Chakra awardee died in a July 19, 2023, Siachen fire. Citing violations of Section 79 Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Section 67 IT Act 2000, NCW intervened. President Droupadi Murmu posthumously awarded Singh, and his wife Smriti received the honor.
