Ganesha festival turns tragic as 4 drown in Yamuna

Four people, including two women, died after they ventured into the Yamuna to have a bath on Thursday night. One of the deceased women, Pinki, had her birthday on Saturday, and she had gone to the river bank to celebrate it with her friends. Four other teenagers in the group had quickly come out of the waterbody, realising that the river bed was filled with sludge. Apart from Pinki (21), the others who drowned were identified as Umesh Yadav (20), Priyanka (20) and Nikit (21), all residents of Nihal Vihar.
