
It has only been a fortnight since the flooded Yamuna receded but Premraj has wasted no time in planting cauliflowers on his one-bigha farm along the river near Geeta Colony. Like him, thousands of other farmers too are busy preparing the ground for their next crop, mostly unaware that the National Green Tribunal’s slew of directions on Wednesday for curbing pollution of the Yamuna included stopping cultivation on the riverbanks.
