Gole market on revamp path

The Lieutenant governor of Delhi, VK Saxena, has laid the foundation stone for the restoration and conservation of Gole Market as a museum. The museum, named 'Virangana', will honor the achievements of women in various fields and showcase their contributions to India. The project, which has been pending for over 15 years, aims to complete the restoration in less than two years. The restoration will maintain the originality of the historic hexagonal market and include features such as a glass dome, central air-conditioning, and disabled accessibility. A parking facility and subway will also be constructed.
