'Found 60 Deva Tirtha, removed encroachment from 44,' says Sambhal district magistrate

In Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh, authorities have discovered and freed from encroachment 60 out of 87 ancient Deva Tirthas as part of their excavation and renovation efforts. The identified sites are being restored under various funding schemes. Additionally, police have filed a chargesheet related to the 2019 Sambhal violence, with 80 arrests made and more pending.
