Eyes on polls, EDMC nixes tax-hike proposals

With the municipal elections due in the city in a few months, the deliberative wing of East Delhi Municipal Corporation (EDMC) has decided to reject all proposals made by the commissioner for increasing the property tax rates and levying new taxes in his budget speech for the financial year 2022-23.
