
Congress' Randeep Singh Surjewala lost the Jind assembly by-election by a massive margin, securing only third position with 21,392 votes. The winning candidate, BJP's Krishan Middha, polled 49,229 votes, he was followed by Digvijay Singh Chautala of Jannayak Janata Party's (JJP) who secured 37,681 votes. Total 21 candidates, including two women contested.
