‘Policemen helping drivers flout RFID norms’

Environment Pollution (Prevention and Control) Authority (EPCA) chairman Bhure Lal on Thursday wrote to the heads of police of Delhi, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh, stating that video clips from various RFID toll points have revealed that police personnel stationed there are not fining violators and letting the traffic flow by opening the barriers. This is undoing all efforts put in by several agencies to successfully implement the Supreme Court’s order, Lal said.
