Transport strike: Many schools in NCR shut today

With transporters in the national capital region (NCR) going on strike to protest against the hefty fines under the amended Motor Vehicles Act, most schools in Delhi have asked parents to drop and pick up their children on Thursday, and use either private vehicles or the metro as school buses are likely to remain off duty. A few schools have, however, decided to remain closed.
