Delhi: Use of drones, e-FIR among key technological leaps

Delhi Police had a big exposure to technology in 2021. While the facility to lodge online complaints was launched by police chief Rakesh Asthana, as was the e-FIR to report burglaries, the capital’s police force also took steps to use drones and artificial intelligence in policing. The year saw groundwork being done to implement the use of predictive policing and machine learning to curb crime.
