No odd-even rule in Delhi for now as air quality improves

The Delhi government has postponed the implementation of the odd-even scheme, which restricts cars from operating on alternate days, due to a slight improvement in air quality. The scheme was originally planned to be implemented from November 13 to 20. The decision will be reevaluated after the Diwali festival. The Supreme Court has also questioned the effectiveness of the car-rationing scheme and ordered authorities to address farm fires, which contribute to pollution. The odd-even scheme was introduced in 2016 as a measure to combat vehicular pollution
