The Aam Aadmi Party has labeled the Municipal Corporation of Delhi standing committee election scheduled for Friday as unconstitutional and illegal, insisting it should occur on October 5 as per Mayor Shelly Oberoi's announcement. Despite this, Lt Governor VK Saxena directed that the election be held on Friday at 1 pm.
