Delhi govt approves Bill making time-bound service delivery a legal right

The Delhi cabinet approved a new bill for time-bound public service delivery. This legislation will replace the existing 2011 law with a modern framework. Citizens will have a legal right to receive notified government services within fixed timeframes. The entire process will be digital with an automatic escalation for delays. An independent grievance redressal system and penalties are also proposed.
