Severe hit looms, agencies speed up work on projects

As winter approaches and air pollution rises, construction activities in Delhi are set to be impacted due to a ban on construction and demolition (C&D) activities when the air quality index (AQI) exceeds 400. Last year, the ban was enforced for nearly a month, causing difficulties for construction agencies in finding labor. Exemptions are given to certain essential services and non-polluting activities. With the AQI forecasted to remain in the 'poor' or 'very poor' category for the next six days, construction agencies are stepping up their work to avoid further delays.
