MCD abolishes 2k posts, majority from engg dept

Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) will abolish 2,181 posts from its schedule of establishment for 2023-24. A proposal in this regard, which was prepared on the basis of an audit done by a third party, was approved at the house meeting on Monday. A majority of the abolished posts (1,400) are from the engineering department, including multi-task staff.
