E-scooter sharing system to boost Dwarka last-mile link
The Delhi government is set to launch a sharing system for e-scooters and e-cycles in Dwarka sub-city to improve last-mile connectivity. The plan involves deploying 3,000 electric vehicles at 90 high-footfall locations in three phases. The initiative aims to provide cost-effective and eco-friendly mobility solutions to residents. The first phase is expected to be implemented in six months, with subsequent phases following soon after. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 18 crore. Users will be charged per minute, with a minimum usage requirement and a cap on user charges to ensure affordability.
